For the first time in my hockey career I am taking on the roll as captain and I couldn’t be prouder to being doing this for Alnwick 1st team.
I have played the majority of my hockey in the south where I am originally from, playing for my local club, the County and the South of England. Moving up to the North in 2005 I couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome into the Alnwick camp, you couldn’t meet a nicer group of girls with such an amazing attitude towards hockey.
Since being at the club I have been fortunate to be junior coordinator looking after the future of the club. I’ve been involved in many great successes including 1st team promotion into North East Division two and victories in tournaments and plate competitions.
The 1st team finished third in the league last season and I truly believe with hard work and dedication the squad has we can go from strength to strength and win the league this season, winning the league would mean promotion and I believe the squad is more than capable and ready for this.
Encouraging individuals and bringing out their potential is my main priority and in doing this the team will flourish and achieve their goals.
We have a great relationship with the second team and through training we motivate and support their progression.
Please come along and join in with our amazing club. You are guaranteed to love your hockey as much as we do.
